Remedy Herbicide I Have A Problem With Japanese Bamboo Encroching On My Garden. Does Anyone Know Of A Good Remedy To Stop It?

I have a problem with Japanese bamboo encroching on my garden. Does anyone know of a good remedy to stop it? - remedy herbicide

This is not a true bamboo but a member of the buckwheat family, so I'm told.It parts of the underground passages (rhysomes), and it is extremely prolific.I rather a method of herbicides. I have tried to cut the stems and pour bleach into the hollow stems. Who has little success.

If an obstruction would be the best option, but I would like copper or atleast use a barrier with a layer of copper, since copper was shown to inhibit root growth

They are poisoning the soil with bleach. The best way is to dig along the edge of your garden, at least 12, then a barrier of thick plastic insert, or, better yet, galvanized steel or aluminum siding. You can use all these elements of Menards.

I saw the People's Court, where it has a case of a neighbor of the seed plants and its neighbors, spent much keep them out of your garden. The judge ordered to pay the mitigation of their neighbors' bamboo rhysomes does exactly what it states above. The judge asked him if the campaign worked, and complained that he had worked hard, but it is expensive. .... So Wherever bamboo first set, then you protect your garden.

Good luck! I wonder what happened.

By the way .... the aluminum casing can be found in the apartment ceiling!

To stop the spread of bamboo roots, instead of a solid physical barrier (metal, wood) into the soil to a depth of about 24 "below. Slant a barrier of about 10 degrees to the bamboo, encouraging roots to grow toward the surface, where to stop them.
